How to enable SSL encryption in Microsoft Outlook



*** This KB only applies to Dedicated Server customers who purchase SSL to be installed on their servers

  AND eBiz Platinum Hosting plans ***


1. Bring up your Microsoft Outlook


2.  Tools and select Account Settings.


3. Check "Manually configure server settings or additional server types"


4. Enter your full name and email address in the User information section.


5. Select Account Type. You can choose POP3 or IMAP as we support both email protocols.


6. Enter mail.domain.com for the mail.domain.com incoming and outgoing email (SMTP) server

*** For dedicated server users, please follow the instructions provided by our support engineers to install SSL on your server.


7. Then enter your full email address and password in the Log on information section and check to remember your password.


8. Then click on "More settings..."


9. Click advanced tab and check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)."


10. Finally specify 995 for the incoming port (POP3) and 465 for the outgoing port (SMTP).


How to enable SSL encryption in Outlook Express

 

 

1. Enter look Express.


2. Tools> Account ...


3. Click Mail tab and select the account for SSL encryption and click Properties.


4. Then click the Advanced tab and check both "This server requires a secure connection (SSL).


5. Kemudian masukan port 465 untuk Outgoing SMTP  dan 995 untuk incoming POP3
