How to Change File Permissions or Access Rights in cPanel

2. Select the file you want to change and then right-click on the folder and select Change Permissions. Can be seen in the example below.

  • Folders - 755
  • CGI and Perl scripts - 755
  • .html .php and other Document Types - 644
