Guide to Restore cPanel account from WHM Server

Restoring a cPanel account is very easy, the condition is that you must have root access to the WHM / cPanel server. There are several ways to restore a cPanel account, here we explain in detail the data restore features that you might try too


First Way: Backup Restoration

 

1. Login to the WHM server

2. Not the Backup Restoration menu

3. Select the cPanel username that you want to do a full restore to.



4 Also choose the date when you want to restore the data. Keep in mind that this restore can be done if you have a backup on local storage.

5. Click Add Account to Queue then click the Restore button

6. If successful, the status will appear: complete (if it appears complete with warning, you can click view log to see the detailed restoration log, generally you can ignore the warning).



7. Please check your cPanel account, the data has been restored to the previous date.


The second way: File and Directory Recovery


1. Login into WHM Server

2. Open the menu File and Directory Restoration

3. Select the cPanel username that you want to restore

4. Select Browse files and directories

5. Select which files you want to restore and click Show Backup.



6. Check the right side, the file backup data will appear on any date, select the backup date and click Restore.

7. You have successfully restored just that 1 file to a previous date.

8. Keep in mind that if you restore 1 file, the system will stack the current file with the backup file.



Third way: Transfer or Recover cPanel Account

1. login WHM Server

3. Masuk menu Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account

3. uncheck Enable Restricted Restore.



4. Transfer Options
Restore from a local cpmove file : use this menu if you restore your cPanel account from a cpmove file with a format : backup-3.1.2021_22-28-18_username.tar.gz
Upload a file to restore : You can also upload the full backup file to the server, but it will take a long time because the upload process depends on the internal connection.et.
Transfer from remote cpanel account : if you have a cPanel account user and password, you can easily transfer directly 1 cPanel account --> WHM server.
5. Overwrite if the cPanel user already exists
Select this checkbox if you want to keep your old cPanel account.

6. Dedicated IP Address
Check if you want to add a dedicated ip for the cPanel account.

7. Click the button Restore
