This article will guide on how to get full E-Mail Headers from major free email providers and E-Mail Clients like Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Express.
Outlook Express:
1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Right click on the E-Mail header you want to view, a drop down menu will appear.
3. From the menu, select "Properties".
4. Click on the "Details" tab and you will be able to see the E-Mail header.
Microsoft Outlook 2002/2003/2007:
1. Select an email and right-click the message without opening it, then click "Options" from the drop-down menu.
2. A "Message Options" notification will appear
3. At the bottom of the box you will see a text area titled "Internet header".
4. Highlight Content, then right-click. Copy the header and paste it into an email message or other application.
Microsoft Outlook 2010:
1. Select an email and Double-click to open the email in a new window.
2. Click the File button, Select Info Ribbon and click on Properties.
3. You will get a Header email in the Internet header section.
Microsoft Outlook 2013:
1. Select an email and Double-click to open the email in a new window.
2. Click on the ribbon.
5. Click Properties.
6. After clicking Properties, you will get the email header.
Mozilla Thunderbird:
1. Select an email and Double-click to open the email in a new window.
2. Click View and click and another Message Source and a new window will pop out.
3. Copy the contents of the emil header content and paste it into another email or application.
Windows Live Hotmail / MSN:
Notes: This article is in reference to Windows Live Hotmail Full version.
1. Right-click on the closed E-Mail and a drop down menu will appear.
2. Select View Source in the drop-down menu.
3. E-Mail will show in the new Windows.
GMail:
1. Sign in to your GMail Account.
2. Open the E-Mail header you wish to view
3. You will see a "Reply" button on the top right of the message Panel
4. Click the small downward-pointing arrow next to "Replay".
5. Select "Show original" as shown above and the E-Mail header will show in the new Windows.
Yahoo! Mail:
1. Sign in to your Yahoo! E-Mail account.
2. Open the E-Mail header you wish to view
3. Scroll down to the bottom right of the E-Mail, select on "Full Headers".
4. E-Mail header information will appear on Windows
Apple Mail:
1. Click on the selected email.
2. Click on View > Message > Long Headers
