how to configure Microsoft Outlook 365 for @colorado.edu Gmail account on Windows

  1. Login Outlook > go to File Menu > then click Add Account .
  2. Enter IdentiKeyUsername@g.colorado.edu in the email field (not first.last@colorado.edu). Click Advanced options, select Let me set up my account manually, and then click Connect.

  3. Click Google .

  4. Enter your IdentiKey password and click Connect.

  5. You may get a popup asking for your password again, if so click Cancel.

  6. Click Change Account Settings.

  7. Enter the following server information:

    • Incoming Server: imap.gmail.com
    • Port of Entry: 993
    • Inbound Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
    • Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com
    • Port of Exit: 465
    • Outbound Encryption Method: SSL/TLS

    Click Next.

  8. If prompted, re-enter your IdentiKey password and click Connect.
  9. Enter your IdentiKeyUsername@colorado.edu address in the email field (not first.last@colorado.edu), then click Next.

  10. Enter your IdentiKey password, then click Sign In.

  11. If prompted, review the permissions and click Allow.
12. If requested, repeat steps 9-11 again.

13. Uncheck both boxes and click Done.

14 Click File, open the Account Settings dropdown, and then click Account Settings.

15. Click to select your account registered as IdentiKeyUsername@g.colorado.edu, and then click Change.


16. Enter your desired Display Name in the Your Name field.
  • Change your Account Name and Reply Address to your First.Last@colorado.edu email address.
  • Set up your Organization if desired.
  • Uncheck Do not save copies of sent items
  • Click Next then Finish then Close.

17. Close and reopen Outlook; your email has been configured and messages will start synchronizing.
