What is a Proxy?
A proxy is a computer program that acts as a server, so that this proxy can be another computer that can make requests for content available on the internet.
Simply put, a proxy is a bridge between the computer used by the user and the internet. Proxies can also create indirect connections between users on other networks.
For those of you who use the Safari browser, here is how to set up a proxy:
Step 1: Open Safari browser and go to the menu " Preferences”.
Step 2: Followed by opening the "Advanced" tab and clicking the Change Settings button on the proxy..
Step 3: Click LAN Settings.
Step 4: Check the checkbox “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.
Step 5: Enter the IP address, domain name or name of your proxy server network in the field “Address”.
Step 6: Enter the proxy server port in the “Port”.
Step 7: click "Advanced" and now specify different proxy servers for SSL, FTP and SOCKS connections if you are using different proxies for those connections.
Now test whether your proxy settings in the safari browser are correct or not.
