Domain transfer is the process of moving a domain registrar. The domain owner remains the same, it's just the registrar that moves. The registrar is the place where the domain is registered, it can be a webhosting, registrar or reseller registrar.
Domain transfer here does not include all previous hosting data, only the domain registrant, not the data. During the domain transfer process, the domain dns cannot be changed, you should change the domain dns at the old registrar before the transfer process or after the domain transfer process is complete.
Why domain transfer?
Domains are transferred either to ease the payment process, or to obtain a cheaper renewal price at a new registrar.
What is the domain transfer procedure
1. Please register to a new registrar then login
2. Select the Domains menu and then select Transfer Domain
3. After that, please complete the step by step from steps 1-5.
Here are some things to consider if you want to transfer your domain to EXABYTES:
- For ccTLD Domains such as .CO.ID/.ID - Domain status "OK" or Active, at least 35 days before expiration, valid EPP Code and include other additional documents such as KTP. For TLD Domains such as .COM/.NET - Domain status "OK" or Active, at least 30 days before expiration, registered after 60 days, disable Whois ID Protection, have an EPP code and WHOIS Admin email address can be accessed.
- You will receive an email from our registrar (e.g. OpenSRS). Click the link in the email. Next, fill in the EPP code.
- Done. Wait for the activation process for a maximum of 7-10 days.
