Domain Requirements

The website will be accessible with a domain name or in other words, the domain is the name of the website. After determining the domain name, what needs to be determined is the type of extension. The extention type consists of gTLD and ccTLD. The gTLD domain is an international domain while the ccTLD .ID domain shows that your website is from Indonesia. The domain registration service provided by EXABYTES includes gTLD and ccTLD .ID domains.

DOMAIN gTLD

Domain gTLD yang disediakan antara lain :

1. .com (comersial)
2. .org (organisasi)
3. .net (network)
4. .biz (bisnis)
5. .info (informasi)
6. .aero (aviation) Requirements: Must have a membership .ID and Password. If not please register at the following address https://www.information.aero/node/add/request-aero-id
7. .travel It is somewhat different from other .gtld domains because it must have a UIN number (unique identifying number) first. UIN numbers are issued by the Tralliance Registry to prospective registrants who are eligible to register a .travel domain. For those of you who wish to use a .travel domain, before registering your domain on MWN, please obtain your UIN number by visiting : http://www.authentication.travel/register.jsp?type=U&ap=trap&aff=&subid=&salesid=
8. .ngo is one of the latest .gtld domains intended specifically for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). The registration process for this particular .ngo domain is somewhat different from other .gtld domains, in that registrants must visit the OnGood.ong Portal URL that is emailed to registrants upon registration. Registrants will login to or register for an OnGood account which requires them to certify that they meet the criteria set out to be an NGO or ONG. https://help.opensrs.com/hc/en-us/articles/205508207
   Note: If the domain bundle fails validation, it will be marked for deletion, and deleted on day 360 by the registry. OpenSRS will not delete the domain bundle prior to that point. There will be no refund if the registry deletes the domain.
9. .coop (Koperasi)

Eligible registrants must be one of the following:
– an organization formed as and/or considered cooperatives under applicable local law;
– an association comprised of cooperatives;
– an organization that is committed to the seven cooperative principles;
– an organization that is majority controlled by cooperatives; or,
– an entity whose operations are principally dedicated to serving cooperatives.
The registry will validate the registrant after processing registration of the domain.

The registry will send a validation email to
the registrant, placing the domain on Hold status. The registrant has 30 days to complete validation. Once the registrant is
validated, Hold status is removed and the domain is activated. If the registrant does not complete validation, the domain is
deleted and no refund is provided. Domains that have been previously validated via the CVC do not have to be validated again.
The validation process takes approximately 5 days under normal circumstances.

DOMAIN ccTLD .ID

while the ccTLD .ID domains provided include:

1. .co.id (can be owned by anyone) requirements: SIUP / TDP or (Company Deed (cover and page 1, NPWP), equivalent license, Brand Certificate (if any), KTP Republic of Indonesia.
2. .or.id (Organization) requirements: Notary Deed or Internal Decree of Establishment of the Organization, ID card of the Republic of Indonesia
3. .ac.id (Academic/University) requirements: Decree of Establishment of the Institution from the authorized Ministry / Institution in accordance with statutory regulations, Certificate of Rector / Head of Institution, ID card of the Republic of Indonesia.
4. .sch.id (School) requirements: Letter of Establishment of the Institution from the Ministry or related SKPD, Certificate of Principal or Head of Institution, ID card of the Republic of Indonesia.
5. .go.id (Pemerintahan) syarat: Peruntukan maupun Persyaratan Domain desa.id diatur dalam Peraturan Mentri yang membidangi Komunikasi dan Informatika. Administrasi dilakukan oleh Depkominfo.
6. .web.id (Requirements: ID card of the person in charge of registration, brand rights (must attach a letter of permission from the relevant company if using a well-known name/brand).
7. .my.id (Requirements: ID card of the Republic of Indonesia.
8. .biz.id (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) requirements: ID card of the Republic of Indonesia.
9. .ponpes.id (Pondok pesantran) requirements: Certificate from the head of the boarding school or head of the related institution and ID card / passport.

Note: unlike gTLD domains such as .com/net/org, .ID domains have certain requirements. Even if a domain is still available when checked through WHOIS, it doesn't necessarily mean that your request for a domain name will be granted. So don't assume it will be yours just yet.
