By default, the RDP protocol for Windows Remote Desktop only supports 1 session. in other words, only 1 user can log in via RDP.
However, this session can be changed to allow multiple users to access the RDP simultaneously.

- Log into the server using Remote Desktop.
- Open the start screen (press the Windows key) and type gpedit.msc and open it
- Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections.
- Set Restrict Remote Desktop Services user to a single Remote Desktop Services session toDisabled.
- Double click Limit number of connections and set the RD Maximum Connections allowed to 999999.
To be restored to its original state, use only 1 session:
- Log into the server using Remote Desktop.
- Open the start menu and type 'gpedit.msc' and open it
- Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections.
- Set Restrict Remote Desktop Services user to a single Remote Desktop Services sessionto Enabled.
