1) What is a domain?


A domain is the name for the identity of every website on the Internet. The domain aims to make it easier for the Domain Name System (DNS) to identify the website when Internet users search for the site on the Internet. Example: Exabytes.com




2) Why do I need a domain name?


Domain names are needed so that people can find every site on the Internet quickly and easily. Domains are an intermediary to introduce businesses to the public; businesses usually register their domains to guard against cyber-squatting or unauthorized parties.


 


3) What conditions can be required to register a domain?


Domain names can contain characters from A - Z, 0 - 9;


Domain names can contain "-" but cannot begin or end with a "-" sign;


Spaces and other characters such as question marks (?), exclamation points (!), and underscores (_) are not permitted;


All domains must have at least 2 name servers and a list of IP addresses at one time


All domains are not allowed to use the word "-" in the 3rd and 4th letters (reserved for multilingual domains example: xn--example.com)


The domain information provided during domain registration must be true, complete and qualified.


The domain name owner must continuously maintain and update the information in Whois.

6) How do I know if the domain I want is still available or not?


You can check the availability when you register the domain at "Register my domain now" on our website page, if the domain name is still available, you can immediately proceed to the next step. You can also check the availability of other domains. If the domain is already taken, enter a new domain name and search again.




7) If I registered the wrong domain name with Exabytes, what should I do?




We cannot refund the registration fee. You must own the domain name for one year. You'll need to order and re-register it again with the domain name you want.
