If original images, photos, and artwork are the focal point of your WordPress site, it's best to find a way to protect them. Watermarks are marks used to give your work an identity. It can be in the form of text or a logo, whichever works best for you.
to install / give a watermark on the image in wordpress, here is how:
1. First make sure you have logged in to your wordpress dashboard / admin page
2. Go to Plugin menu > Add New Plugin
3. Next step you type Watermark in the search field
4. Later you can select the plugin as shown below and click the Install button:
Wait for the install to complete and activate the plugin.
5. if so, please go back to the Plugin menu > Select Settings on the Easy Watermark plugin and you can Add New > Enter your watermark name > then select the image you want to make a Watermark (Recommended to use files with .png format and transparent background) > and finally click save
6. Please try uploading an image in the media menu, and make sure Auto Watermark is checked.
