Wordfence protects your website from security threats such as hacking, malware, DDOS, and brute force attacks.
Step 1: Login to your WordPress Dashboard
Step 2: On the left side of the menu bar, click on Plugins and select Add New
Step 3: -
Search for the "WordFence" plugin.
You will find the plugin name Wordfence Security - Firewall & Malware Scan
Click "Install Now"
It will now show "Installing..." Once done, proceed to the next step
Step 4 :-
Click "Activate"
Upon activation, a new menu item 'Wordfence' will be added to the left panel of the WordPress Dashboard
Step 5: -
Proceed to the Wordfence dashboard, click on the Scan tab.
Step 6: -
Click "Start New Scan"
Wordfence will show you the results once it's done. The free Wordfence plugin automatically runs in full
In addition, you can also manage Scan Types
Also, can click on "Scan options and Scheduling" followed by enabling scanning themes and plugins against WordPress Repo.
Then click Save Changes
