In this example, you have a blogspot with the name: aku.blogspot.com and want to migrate to WordPress yourself, because you already have hosting at Exabytes Indonesia. There are a few things you need to do.
From the Blogspot side, you have to export the xml for the database first.
- On the top left, click Down arrow
. - Click on the blog to be backed up.
- On the left menu, click Settings and then More.
- In the section "Import & backup", click Backup accounts
Save to your computer.
Then on the WordPress side, make sure the Import feature is installed.
If not, do the installation first.
If so, click Run Importer.
Then upload the .xml file that you got from the Blogspot export to your WordPress. Wait for the import process to finish.
