How to Delete a Blog on WordPress.com

Here is an easy way to permanently delete your Blogspot:

  1. First login to your WordPress blog

2. Once logged in, go to your site's settings page by selecting My Sites > Manage > Settings

3. Scroll down until you find the site tools menu > Delete your site permanently

4. Before you delete the blog, we recommend exporting the content first so that later If you want to recreate the blog and want to use the blog content, you can import the content to the new site.

5.  Once you've finished exporting your content, scroll down to find the Delete Site button. If you have multiple blogs under one account, be sure to confirm that the correct blog address is listed in the yellow warning bar

6. A deletion confirmation pop-up will appear. Enter the blog address (shown in red) into the column provided, then press the Delete this site button.

7. Now your blog has been successfully deleted

At this point, all who try to visit your blog will see a message stating that your blog is no longer available and has been deleted by the author.

Undoing Blog Deletion

Once you Delete a blog, WordPress will send a notification email to your email address with information if the blog deletion can be undone within the first 30 days after the site is closed.

If you realize you've closed your blog by mistake, WordPress recommends that you reply to the notification email immediately, as after 30 days, all your blog data is purged and cannot be recovered. Your blog address will be deleted and cannot be used again.
