The relative 404 Not Found indicates that the requested web page was not found, for example below:



It can happen due to incorrect permalink structure and therefore, the missing pages, can choose to reset the .htaccess as below:


Reset .htaccess


The .htaccess file is a basic configuration file used by Apache web servers. You can use it to set up redirects, restricting access to all or part of your site.


You can access File Managar or FileZilla to locate and backup your existing .htaccess. Once done, you can log into your WordPress admin backend:



  1. Go to Settings → Permalink in your WordPress dashboard

  2. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page (you don't need to make any changes - just click the button)
