Remote Desktop Authentication Issue

Announcement Details:


On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Microsoft released the Microsoft Security Patch. This patch triggers issues with settings and requiring remote connections at the highest level (CredSSP Update for CVE-2018-0886)


The default setting has been changed from Vulnerable to Mitigated which causes any Windows terminal using CredSSP to be unable to use the access insecure versions.


The following is an example of an error message that appears when a user tries to do RDP:

We strongly recommend that you regularly update the Terminal + Operating System on the Server with the latest security patches and updates.


To solve this problem, please configure the windows side of your PC/Laptop by following these steps:


1. Run gpedit.msc via the run button

2. Arahkan ke: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Credentials Delegation

3. Edit the following settings: Encrypt Oracle Remediation

4. Set it to Enable, and change the Protection Level to Vulnerable.


 


After that. please try RDP to your windows VPS/Server again. Thank you.
