How to Create a Custom WordPress.com Domain

Domain Mapping

If the preparation has been fulfilled, then do the following domain mapping:

  6. After completing steps 1 through 5, to ensure the domain is pointed to WordPress by changing the name server.

Changing Nameservers

For a custom WordPress domain, the domain needs to be pointed to WordPress by changing the name server to

ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com

 

To change the Name Server in the Customer Area, please follow these steps.


1. Login to the customer area first. If you have forgotten your password, please use the forgot password feature.


2. After successfully logging in, click Domains then select My Domains at the top.



3. Select the domain name to change the NS (Name Server), then click the screwdriver image.



4. When the domain settings are open, you can see on the left side of the panel. In the Manage section then select Name Servers.



5. Then fill in the name server you want.



The example above is our name servers which are : NS1.IDCLOUDHOSTING.COM and NS2.IDCLOUDHOSTING.COM
