How to Install Joomla on VPS

VPS cPanel Login

First, you login to your VPS hosting cPanel. In general, to log in to the VPS cPanel using the url format https://ipvpsanda:2083. Adjust the ip with your VPS ip. After that you enter the cpanel login user and password. The cPanel login user and password are generally sent to email by the hosting provider after you purchase the hosting along with the cPanel. If you can't find it, you can ask the hosting service provider directly.




Choose Softaculous App Installer

Once you have logged into cPanel, you will be presented with the cPanel main page. To install Joomla, you can search for 'Softaculous' or you can also type 'Softaculous' in the search field. After finding it, click Softaculous.

The next step is that you will enter the Softaculous main page. You just search for 'Joomla' in the search field then immediately click on the Joomla CMS.

Joomla Installation

You are now at the Joomla installation page. To start the Joomla installation you must complete the information such as basic configuration, URL, username, password, email and others. If everything has been filled in correctly, just click the Install button below and wait for the installation process to finish.


Enter the Admin Page

After Joomla has been successfully installed, you can edit the website by entering the Joomla admin page. In general, the admin page login URL format is www.namadomainanda.com/administrator. Later a display will appear as below and you fill in the username and password according to what was previously created in the Joomla installation section.
