Question :
How to setup DNS records for Spam Expert first time setup?
Applicable to :
- cPanel Lite / Beginner / Plus / Pro / Max
- Plesk Mini / Plus / Pro / Max
- WP Beginner / Business / Commerce / Ultimate
- VPS Linux SSD / NVME
- Exabytes Business Email (Bizmail)
- Dedicated Servers
Answer :
The idea is to make changes under DNS records of your email section, which is MX record. Here are our MX recrods if you are using Spam Expert.
MX (0) mx1.idcloudhosting.com MX (0) mx2.idcloudhosting.com
If you want to include additional MX server ie. your own MX records, you can also set priority higher, where 0 (zero) is the most high priority.
MX (10) mx1.idcloudhosting.com MX (10) mx2.idcloudhosting.com MX (20) your-mx.server.com
Don't forget to configure your SPF record as well. This can be found under TXT DNS records.
include:idse.idcloudhosting.comFor example (before) :
v=spf1 +a +mx ~allThen once changed (after) :
v=spf1 +a +mx include:idse.idcloudhosting.com ~allMake sure you configure the SPF under TXT records, otherwise your sending mail could be disturbed ie. ended to Spam or Junk folder.
