Usually the DUO Mobile feature is used to authenticate login as administrator or root, both on Windows and Linux platforms. However, it is more dominant on the Windows platform for Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) authentication.
Duo Push
The Duo Push feature is the quickest and easiest way to ACCEPT authentication. When you have logged in and it is valid (correct), then there will be a pop up from the Duo Mobile application that will notify you of the login notification. You only need to APPROVE the notification so that you can directly login to your server.
The notification contains the IP information of the user who made a valid login to the server.
Total Login
If the login information on the app screen does not show the correct IP (not yours), you can reject it by selecting DENY or REJECT on your notification screen options.
